Weds 25th March update

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope that you are all coping well. It's been an even quieter day at school with only 5 children here with us today. It is very strange and eerie!

As the government have not yet organised a national system regarding free school meals, we have today been able to organise the purchase of supermarket vouchers which will be provided for those families who are currently eligible for free school meals, to cover the first two weeks of school closure. We will contact those families on Friday to let them know how we will get these to you.

We are now awaiting validation of our school account for Google Classroom, so that we can proceed with setting this up for you. Again, we will let you know when we have got to the next step with this. One step at a time!

Regarding the Easter holidays, we have been led to believe that Essex are looking at how provision may be made for the children of key workers at that time. We know that the plan is for this provision to continue, but I can't be sure what this will be just yet.

Once more, thank you to everyone for their support and patience. We are still here!

Best wishes,

Geraldine Denham-Hale
